Ladylike Lace

Skirt – Vintage (It’s actually a dress and I scored it for $50 at Buttons & Bows Designer Consignment in DTLA. It’s a must visit if you’re ever brunching at Bottega Louie!)
Sweatshirt – H&M
Bag – Michael Kors
Booties – Aldo
Nails – Nicole by OPI
Rings – LUV AJ & ASOS

Wore this ensem to work the other day…so excuse the “industrial” environment. I loved the clash of a super feminine body conscious lower half, with something slouchy and casual on top. The light pink bag and bunny keychain was the perfect finishing touch. (LUUUV wearing matching shades… its like an alliteration for your outfit!)

So, you have probably seen a lot of sheer lace pencil skirts popping up these days. The trend is taken straight from the Burberry Prorsum SS14 runway.  I think that it is an awesome way to look soft and feminine while still maintaining a bit of edge — not saying you should rock a sheer skirt with just briefs, but have a little fun with the length of your slip; don’t be afraid to show some skin (the lace sheath keeps it ladylike.)

Note: Candy land nails were not planned, but somehow work with this look. :)
